Our government will be run as a business on core values that reflects our cultural heritage & identity as Ọmọlúwàbí. Therefore, we all are the government and we must promote unity amongst ourself. Yorùbá is ONE irrespective of dialect or state you are.

After God Almighty, think Democratic Republic of the Yoruba (D.R.Y)

In the Democratic Republic of the Yoruba, the Indigenous Yoruba People (I.Y.P) are the GOVERNMENT.

Your Government - Democratic Republic of the Yoruba

Those elected or appointed into office at any level are REPRESENTATIVES of government, that is, representatives of the Indigenous Yoruba People, both as individual Yorubas as well as the collective Yoruba people. There is no power, therefore, in the hands of those in government (who, for purposes of brevity, might be referred to as ‘government’), they do not possess any power, but that which the Indigenous Yoruba People allow them to have and to exercise on the absolute behalf of the Indigenous Yoruba People ( I.Y.P).What this translates to, is that the ‘government’ (elected or appointed) cannot and must never be allowed to lord anything over the Indigenous Yoruba People, contrary to the free-will wishes and desires of the I.Y.P, otherwise such elected or appointed official(s) will immediately, without protocol, be sanctioned by the People. Thus, as a Yoruba person, your government is as the way you want it to be, for there is no government in the Democratic Republic of the Yoruba other than THE PEOPLE (I.Y.P) themselves.

Constitutional Framework

There is a solid and unchanging background and bedrock upon which the Democratic Republic of the Yoruba is based – and that is the bedrock of a strong constitution. To produce this Constitution, all citizens of the Democratic Republic of the Yoruba, regardless of gender, age or status in life, are given the opportunity to bring in their own personal, individual or corporate inputs into the constitution. This ensures that the Yorubas on Yorubaland are governed by a constitution made, read and ratified by themselves. This is not a constitution foisted upon a people, neither is it a constitution made by a few ‘select’ people. The above guarantees that the Yoruba person, living in Yorubaland, can boldly say that his life is under the constitutional governance of a document made, to all intents and purposes, by himself.
